अधिकतर 'be deluged with' (किसी चीज़ से डूबा हुआ) के रूप में इस्तेमाल होता है। पानी के लिए शाब्दिक और काम आदि के लिए रूपक रूप में आता है। 'flooded' से अधिक औपचारिक लगता है।
