Definition

天文学では天体が天の赤道からどれだけ離れているかを示す角度です。まれに、丁寧や正式な断りの意味でも使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に天文学や科学の分野で使われます。断りの意味はとてもフォーマルで日常会話ではほとんど使いません。「decline（動詞）」や「declension（文法）」とは異なります。
