Definition

不再活着；已停止所有生物功能。也可以表示某物不工作或缺乏活力。

通常用于医学或技术环境描述生物体的死亡，也非正式地指电子设备停止工作（“我的手机没电了”）。常作为比喻使用（“死一般的寂静”，“死胡同”）。不要与动词过去式“died”混淆。

The plant is dead because it didn’t get enough water.
