매우 나쁘거나 불쾌하고 짜증나는 상황을 강조할 때 쓰입니다. 부정적인 감정을 강하게 전달할 때 사용됩니다.

아주 격식 있거나 문어체적인 표현이며 일상 대화에서는 거의 쓰이지 않습니다. 보통 부정적인 형용사 앞에서 강조 의미로 사용됩니다 ('damnably unfair' = 너무 불공평하다).
