カッフィングとは、寒い季節に一人でいたくないため、恋人やパートナーを作ることを指すスラングです。長続きする目的ではないことが多いです。

若者の間でよく使われるカジュアルな表現です。"cuffing season" というフレーズでよく見かけます。真剣な交際というより、冬の寂しさを紛らわすための関係に使われます。フォーマルな場面では使用しません。
