黒板や人の言葉など、見たり聞いたりしたものをそのまま書き写すこと。

"Copy down" は学校や学習の場面でよく使われ、先生が生徒に何かをそのまま書き写すように指示するときに使う。単なる "copy" よりも手書きで書くことを強調する。
