کسی چیز یا شخص کا حرکت کے بعد رک کر ساکن ہو جانا۔

یہ لفظ عموماً بیانیہ اور سائنسی سیاق و سباق میں استعمال ہوتا ہے، عموماً اشیاء یا گاڑیوں کے لئے، خیالات یا جذبات کے لئے نہیں۔
