Definition

কাঙি দিয়ে সাবধানে চুল বা পশম থেকে জট বা অবাঞ্ছিত কিছু সরানো। এছাড়াও এটি খুব সাবধানে কিছু খোঁজা বা বাছাই করার অর্থও হতে পারে।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

সাধারণত চুল বা পশমের যত্নে ('comb out knots') ব্যবহার হয়, আবার খুব খুঁটিয়ে কিছু খোঁজার অর্থেও ('comb out the evidence')। সাধারণত সরাসরি বস্তু নেওয়া হয়। 'comb through' (সার্চ) এর চেয়ে বেশি আক্ষরিক।
