一つのプロジェクトや課題のために共に働く人々。歴史や政治の場面では、敵と協力する人を指す場合もある。

通常は協力やチームワークに関して使われるが、歴史や政治で使うと否定的な意味になることがある（例：「ナチ協力者」）。「colleagues」（同僚）とは異なり、共同作業がポイント。
