Expressão formal ou literária, geralmente usada para pensamentos negativos ou ansiosos. Exemplos: 'brood over a mistake', 'brood over the past'. Não é utilizada para pensamentos positivos. Semelhante a 'dwell on', mas com tom mais emocional.
