Definition

海水ほど塩辛くないが、淡水より塩分が多い水のこと。河口などで見られます。

主に水について使われ、食品には使いません。「汽水域」「汽水湖」など環境や科学の文脈で多用されます。飲用に適していない場合が多いです。
