Definition

本を立てて並べるとき、両端に置いて本が倒れないようにする道具。比喩的に、何かの始まりと終わりを示すものにも使われることがある。

通常は複数形で使います。オフィスや図書館で実際によくあります。比喩表現で期間の両端を表すときにも使われます。しおり（ブックマーク）と混同しないでください。
