Definition

ফুল, সবজি ইত্যাদি খুব অল্প সময়ের জন্য ফুটন্ত পানিতে ডুবিয়ে রাখা বা ভয়ে/আবেগে মুখ ফ্যাকাশে হয়ে যাওয়াকে বোঝায়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

রান্নার ক্ষেত্রে 'blanched vegetables' মানে সবজি সেদ্ধ করে ঠান্ডা করে নেওয়া। 'a blanched face' মানে ভয় বা চাঞ্চল্যে ফ্যাকাশে চেহারা। সাধারণভাবে ফর্সা বা ধোয়া জন্য ব্যবহার করা হয় না।
