都市を囲むように作られた高速道路で、市内の中心部を避けて通行できる道路のこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

日本語では「環状道路」や「リングロード」と呼ばれます。アメリカ特有の地名がついた場合もあります（例：ワシントンD.C.のベルトウェイ）。
