'Be on' significa que algo está a acontecer agora, especialmente um evento, um programa está a dar ou algo está ligado.

Usado principalmente para aparelhos (TV, luzes) ou eventos a acontecer. É informal e conversa do dia a dia. Não confundir com 'be onto'. 'What's on?' é 'O que está a dar?'. Pode validar eventos: 'The meeting is on.' = 'A reunião mantém-se.'
