한 방향으로 갔다가 다시 반대 방향으로 반복해서 움직이는 것. 실제 움직임이나 무언가를 꼼꼼히 살펴볼 때 쓴다.

'앞뒤로', '왔다 갔다'는 반복적인 움직임이나 꼼꼼한 확인 모두에 쓰인다. 일상 회화에서 자주 사용된다.
