Alguém ou algo está anestesiado quando uma droga é usada para impedir que se sinta dor, normalmente em procedimentos médicos. Pode também significar ficar insensível física ou emocionalmente.

Usado principalmente em contextos médicos e formais. Aparece sobretudo na voz passiva ('foi anestesiado'). Pode ser literal (insensibilidade física) ou figurativa (insensibilidade emocional). Não costuma surgir em conversas informais.
