乗り物から降りること。または、何かが燃えていたり、明るく光っている状態。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「降りる」は主にバスや電車などの公共交通機関で使います。車には使いません。「燃えている」「輝いている」は文学的・詩的な表現でよく見られます。
