Usage Notes (Hindi)

काफी औपचारिक, अक्सर कानूनी, स्वास्थ्य या सरकारी संदर्भ में यूज़ होता है। 'abstain from alcohol', 'abstain from voting' जैसी अभिव्यक्तियाँ आम हैं। आमतौर पर संज्ञा या क्रिया के gerund के साथ आता है। slightly अधिक औपचारिक 'refrain from' से न मिलाएँ।
