Definition

إعلان أن شخصاً غير مسؤول عن خطأ أو معفو عنه، خاصة في سياق رسمي أو ديني.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

غالباً ما يستخدم في سياقات رسمية أو دينية. يقال 'absolve someone of/from guilt/blame/sin'. لا يستخدم لمسامحة الأمور اليومية بين الأصدقاء (يستخدم 'forgive'). لا تخلط بينه وبين 'resolve' أو 'dissolve'.

The law cannot absolve you from responsibility.
