Used to say that something is also not true for someone else, especially after a negative statement. It connects two negative ideas about different subjects.

Usage & Nuances

'Neither does' usually starts a sentence and follows a negative statement. Used formally and informally, but the word order is fixed: 'John doesn't like coffee. Neither does Mary.' Not used if the verb is 'be'—use 'neither is'. Don't confuse with 'either', which is only used in negatives.
