讓某人進入類似催眠的狀態，通常使他們非常放鬆並容易接受建議，常透過溫和的語言或重複的動作來達到。
Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))
多用於醫學或正式場合，常與“by”連用。不僅可指真正的催眠，也可指某物十分吸引人（如'I was hypnotised by the music'指被音樂吸引住）。不要和“mesmerize”（著迷）混淆。
