向某人請求某事，或期望他們做到某事。既可指請求，也可指要求某人具備某種特質或行為。

較常用於正式或書面語，表示抽象請求或期望（如 ask a favor of, ask too much of）。不要和 'ask for' 搞混。常見結構為“ask something of someone”。
