উপরে ওঠার কাজ বা প্রক্রিয়া, যেমন পাহাড়ে ওঠা বা কোনো অবস্থান বা স্তরে উন্নতি হওয়া।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

প্রধানত আনুষ্ঠানিক বা প্রযুক্তিগত ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'ascent' পর্বতারোহণ ও ক্যারিয়ারে উন্নতি উভয় ক্ষেত্রেই ব্যবহৃত হতে পারে। 'accent' শব্দের সাথে বিভ্রান্ত হবেন না। 'steep ascent', 'rapid ascent' প্রচলিত বাক্যাংশ।
