Definition

鳥や飛行機などが空中を素早く通り過ぎること。また、時間や出来事があっという間に過ぎることも表します。

主に鳥や飛行機などの移動を表しますが、「時間が飛び去る」のように比喩的にも使います。日常会話でよく使われます。

I saw a bird fly past my window.
