무언가의 세기나 소리, 활동 등이 점점 약해지거나 조용해질 때 사용합니다. 주로 날씨, 소음, 감정 등에 쓰입니다.

주로 날씨(바람, 비), 소음, 군중, 감정의 진정 등에 사용합니다. 사람의 죽음에는 쓰지 않습니다. "let the noise die down"처럼 기다리거나 가라앉기를 바랄 때 자주 씁니다.

The rain finally died down after an hour.

한 시간 뒤 마침내 비가 **잔잔해졌다**.

Wait for the noise to die down before starting.

시작하기 전에 소음이 **가라앉을** 때까지 기다려.
