असामान्य रूप से बोला जाता है, परिवार के सदस्यों के लिए ही इस्तेमाल होता है (वस्तुओं के लिए नहीं)। आमतौर पर व्यक्ति के साथ — 'take after your mother'। 'look like' (केवल रूप) से अलग, 'take after' में स्वभाव-आदतें भी आती हैं।
