깜짝 놀라거나 무서워서 마치 죽을 것 같은 기분일 때 사용하는 표현입니다.

정말 죽을 정도는 아니고, 비유적으로 심하게 놀라거나 무서울 때 사용하는 비격식적 표현입니다. 공식 문서에는 사용하지 않습니다.

The thunder last night scared me to death.

어젯밤 천둥 소리에 **혼이 나가도록 놀랐어**.
