어두운 곳이나 잘 보이지 않을 때 손으로 만지면서 물건을 찾는 것.

비공식적이고 주로 눈에 안 보일 때 사용한다. 'feel around for'처럼 구체적으로 무엇을 찾는지 덧붙여서 쓴다. 상황 파악에도 비유적으로 쓸 수 있다.

He had to feel around in the dark for his shoes.

그는 어둠 속에서 신발을 **더듬거리며 찾았다**.
