Trip out Meaning in English
expression
Definición
To experience intense, surreal, or hallucinatory feelings, especially due to drugs, or to react in a way that seems very surprised or fascinated by something.
Uso & Matices
Very informal, often slang. Common in contexts about drug use, but also used exaggeratively for being amazed or 'freaked out' by something unusual or surprising. Sometimes heard as 'tripping out' or 'tripped out.' Distinct from 'trip' (travel) and should not be confused with 'freak out' (which is more about panic).
