필요하지 않은 사치품이나 자신을 위한 선물 등에 많은 돈을 쓰는 것.

비공식적으로 쓰이며, 꼭 필요한 지출이 아닌 사치나 자기 보상에 대해 사용한다. 'splash out on' 뒤에 대상을 붙여 많이 쓴다.
