如果船隻狀況良好並且裝備齊全，能安全在海上航行，就稱為「適於航海的」。

多用於航海和法律場合，只形容船隻是否適合出海，不針對人。常見搭配如“seaworthy vessel”、“seaworthy condition”。不要和“防水”（waterproof）混淆。
