释义

A section is one part of something larger, such as a book, a store, a city, or a document. It can also mean a separate group or area within a whole.

用法与细微差别

Common in both everyday and formal English. Very often used for books and documents ('the next section', 'this section explains...'), stores ('the fruit section'), and divided spaces ('the north section'). Don't confuse it with 'chapter': a 'section' is usually smaller than a chapter.
