Definition

周りが好ましく思わない、または評判の悪い人と親しく付き合い始めること。

くだけた表現。関係が周囲に驚かれたり、否定的に見られる場合によく使われる。「take up」とは意味が異なる。

He started to take up with some new friends at school.
