航空機などから地上の目標に向かって連続して銃撃を加えること。主に戦争や戦闘時に使われる表現。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

通常は軍事・戦争の場面で使われ、地上からの銃撃には使わない。『strafed the area』『the convoy was strafed』など、空からの機銃掃射を指すことが多い。日常会話では稀。
