مغادرة منصب أو مسؤولية طوعًا، أو التوقف عن الاستعداد للعمل.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

يستخدم غالبًا في السياقات العسكرية أو الرسمية: 'stand down' يعني التنحي عن منصب أو إلغاء حالة التأهب. لا تخلطه مع 'sit down' (اجلس). يمكن أن يستخدم كأمر: 'Stand down!'.
