어떤 기준이나 규칙에 따라 물건이나 데이터를 그룹별로 나누거나 순서대로 정리하는 것.

"분류"와 "정렬" 모두 'sorting'의 의미로 사용된다. IT/컴퓨터 분야에서는 주로 "정렬(알고리즘)"으로, 일상에서는 "분류"로 많이 씀.
