누군가와 인사를 하거나 작별 또는 동의를 표시하기 위해 손을 잡고 위아래로 흔드는 행동.

공식·비공식 상황 모두에서 사용하며 첫 만남, 합의, 작별 등에서 많이 쓴다. 가까운 가족 사이에서는 잘 사용하지 않는다.
