遠くの雷のような、深くてずっと続く低い音。不満や不穏な気配が表に出始める兆しも表します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

“rumblings” は「rumblings of dissent」などで不満の兆しを表すことが多い。「rumbling stomach」はお腹がすいて鳴る音。
