‘레프’는 ‘레퍼리’(심판) 또는 ‘레퍼런스’(참고 자료, 추천서)를 줄여 비공식적으로 쓰는 말입니다.

‘레프’는 구어체에서 주로 스포츠, 특히 축구·권투 등 심판을 칭할 때 쓴다. 업무에서는 ‘추천서’나 'ref 번호' 식으로 사용된다.
