祕密地或有隱藏動機地鼓勵某人去做某事(通常是不好的或頑皮的事情)。

多用於口語和非正式場合,通常指別人被慫恿做自己原本不會做的頑皮或不當的事。別與“put up with”(忍受)混淆,意義截然不同。
