가볍고 반복적으로 들리는 소리로, 빗방울이 떨어지거나 작은 발걸음 같은 소리를 말한다.

Usage Notes (Korean)

주로 비가 내릴 때나 작은 발소리 등 부드럽고 리드미컬한 소리에 사용한다. 'the pattering of rain' 같이 표현할 때 자연스럽다. 큰 소음에는 잘 쓰지 않는다.
