この表現は、何かが非常にうまくいき、期待を大きく超えたことを意味します。もともとは野球で、ボールを球場外に打ち出すことからきています。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
主にアメリカで使われる、カジュアルで肯定的な表現。予想を大きく上回る成果やパフォーマンスを称賛するときに使う。'knock it out of the park' とも似ている。小さなことや悪い結果には使わない。
