何かや誰かを積極的に探して見つけ出すこと。特に、すぐに見つからないものや人について使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

"Hunt up"はやや古風で口語的な表現です。物や情報、昔の友人を探すときによく使われます（'hunt up an old friend'）。正式な文章ではほとんど使いません。'hunt down'（徹底的に探し追う）とは意味が違います。
