Definition

নরকে প্রচণ্ডভাবে জ্বলতে থাকা আগুন, প্রধানত ধর্মীয় বা নাটকীয় পরিস্থিতিতে শাস্তি বা চরম ধ্বংস বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

এটি সাধারণত বহুবচন আকারে ('the hellfires') ব্যবহৃত হয় এবং ধর্মীয়, সাহিত্যে ও অলঙ্কারমূলক বর্ণনায় শাস্তি বা ধ্বংস বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। সাধারণ কথোপকথনে খুব কম ব্যবহৃত হয়।
