"Gluttonous" औपचारिक है और आमतौर पर अत्यधिक भोजन के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है, लेकिन यह अन्य चीज़ों की अत्यधिक चाह पर भी लागू हो सकता है। ज़्यादा लिखित अंग्रेज़ी में सुनने को मिलेगा। इसे "greedy" (जो किसी भी चाह के लिए है) से न मिलाएँ।
