特別な使命や任務のために、誰かや組織の代表として派遣される人です。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
主に外交や公式な場面で用いられるフォーマルな表現です。日常会話ではあまり使われません。「send an emissary」「act as an emissary」といった形で使われます。
