誰かをこっそりだましたり、ごまかすこと。また、時間を無駄にしたり、指で物をいじる意味もある。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
口語的な表現で、現代ではあまり一般的でない。‘diddle someone out of money’はお金をごまかし取る意味。‘diddling around’はだらだらするニュアンス。正式な場では使わない。
