Definition
Restar una cantidad de un total, especialmente dinero de un pago.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Se usa mucho en contextos financieros, fiscales o contables ('deduct taxes', 'deduct expenses'). Es más formal que 'take off' o 'subtract'. Se dice 'deduct from' (salary, bill). No confundir con 'reduce', que es más general.
