Definition

الـ button هو جزء صغير تضغط عليه ليجعل جهازًا أو آلةً تقوم بشيء ما، أو قطعة صغيرة تُستخدم لإغلاق الملابس.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

هذه الكلمة شائعة جدًا مع الأجهزة: 'press a button' و 'hit the button' و 'push the wrong button'. ومع الملابس يُستعمل كثيرًا 'button up your shirt'. وفي الإنجليزية غير الرسمية، 'push someone’s buttons' تعني استفزاز شخص عمدًا.
